1/2 cup boiling water

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

4 egg whites, lightly beaten

1/3 cup canola oil

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350°.


Spray a 13 x 9-inch non-stick baking pan with cooking oil spray. Combine boiling water and cocoa in a large bowl. Mix until completely dissolved. Add flour, eggs, sugars, baking powder, salt, oil and vanilla; mix well. Mix in chopped walnuts.


Pour mixture into prepared pan; bake 25 minutes or until brownies are done. Cool in pan on wire rack; cut into squares.
