To make perfect sun-rays we need a perfect line. That's what we're using the circle for. And to make sure we're doing it the right way, we need guides. "Smart-guides" to be honest. Activate the guides either by going through the menu or press "Ctrl+U".

Select your flair, copy and paste the new copy in front (ctrl+c to copy, then ctrl+f to paste in front). Go to 'Object > Transform > Reflect' and select "horizontal" to reflect the shape over the horizontal axis.

Grunge Text Effect

Or you can further refine Dirt1 and 2 layers. If you take a close look at them you'll see that they contain of groups of speckle shapes with applied clipping paths (in a shape of original text). You can Release Clipping Path for each letter, ungroup, and move your speckles by hand, concentrating some of them in a corners of letters. Group and apply clipping path again. Drawing a Funny Game Character

Create new document, size 600 x 400 px, check Show Grid , Smart Guide and Snap to Grid item on View menu. When Snap to Grid item is checked, Smart Guide cant work, u must choose one...use it smartly :) Draw 1 elliptical shape, copy it, fill #ED2324 color, use Pen draw the path like this, then hold Alt and click to the Divide icon on Pathfinder palette, then Ungroup.

Creating a Crazy Cool Logo

In this post I will show you how we created the logo. I will skip the drawing parts, yes there were tons of drawings before going to the computer, because when they stole my computer and backups in 2006 they took all my photos of the drawings.This logo is pretty much a bunch of circles, I used a circle for the module and deleted some segments in order to create the characters.

Cops Text

In this tutorial we will make a rough edges like in a logo of Cops TV series. 1. Using Type tool create your text. Make it large enough, like 70 pt. Easier to work with, you can always downscale it later. Select it with Selection tool and convert into outlines (Type > Create Outlines).
